BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery
As a designer, I aim to create expressive jewellery pieces that facilitate interactions between the wearer, the viewer, and the surrounding environment. I want to create work that can be experienced on many different levels under an immersive experience. At the start of each project, lots of primary and secondary research and experiments were done before the final prototyping. I have build up my own artistic archive for inspiration, and I select these treasures to support my concept. I believe a continuous process can build up critical and curatorial thinking. To achieve the best result during the pandemic period, I embraced a wide range of processes and materials to develop my work. I am interested in the physical and digital manifestations of jewellery.Jewellery confirms our identity and emotions, it represents who we are, and also supports how we want to be understood by others. Especially young people nowadays rely on the internet to express themselves through posting daily selfies. The appearance of jewellery AR filters pushed forward the development of modern jewellery designs. I was inspired and influenced by this, hoping to continue to release and design jewellery digitally before production, as this sustainable process can reduce material wastage. Whether its hand-making or machine-making jewellery pieces, the open future market will be guaranteed by the internet and its massive group of users.
