Jundan is a fashion textiles designer exploring the multifunction possibilities of material's surfaces and structure through process driven design. The design approach is analysis and synthesis towards traditional handicraft techniques, and aims to explore more contemporary textiles that are experimental. Experimenting traditional crafts is a key process to learn the functional characteristic of craft techniques. Reimagining and developing the craft techniques with modern technologies to create innovative surfaces for high-performance materials becoming a new crafted and durable textile design. Jundan's works focus on exploring the areas of wearability and utility of textiles. Creating the adaptable textiles that are versatile for people to wear everyday in different situations, lasting the sense of fresh and encouraging consumers appreciate the textiles we wear. A theme of creating multifunctional textiles aim to engage and connect the wearer, that encourage consumers to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
