Mona Rathi is a knitted fashion textiles graduate specialising in material research and socio-environmental sustainability. She derives her inspiration from matters of social and political importance. Whether it is a textiles collection or garments there are two most significant characteristics: choice of materials; try to be as less impactful on the environment as possible and intricate detailed craftsmanship in the design. Her interest in knitwear is combined with her passion to change the way the fashion industry works; for her, it is now more necessary than ever to change production methods and alter supply chain management to more responsible and ethical practices.
