BA (Hons) Fine Art
I focus on themes such as the Weltschmerz of todays society, anatomical abnormalities and counter balancing energies that form harmony. In German, the word Weltschmerz can be broken down into two parts: Welt: meaning World, and Schmerz: meaning Pain. I tend to gravitate towards communicating world pain, in relation to myself, the people in my circle and the communities I identify with. My ideas aren’t formed with a specific medium in mind, I chose what medium works best after the idea has been researched and developed on paper. However I do work in sculpture, wax carving for casting into metal, painting, Lino print, and recently began animating as well.
