The primary focus of my multidisciplinary practice is to explore the erosion of the self, both physically and psychologically, through sculptures and installations that represent the body in fragments and residues. Influenced by Kristeva's Theory of the 'Abject', I try to enact a tension between repulsion and desire to confront the dominant narratives of idealised representations and subjectivity. I use materials that ooze such as melted wax, silicone and expanding foam in a process within which the abject unfolds.
