I work full time at Makers Cabinet as Director and Head of Communications. We founded this company as three co-founders, designing, manufacturing, marketing, and selling high-end drawing tools designed to last a lifetime. We have run two successful Kickstarter and Indiegogo InDemand Crowdfunding Campaigns netting over £300k and our products retail in over 25 shops worldwide. We sell directly to consumers on our e-commerce website makerscabinet.com, wholesale, and B2B as corporate gifts. I grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and moved to London in 2015. I started traveling at a very young age and have been to over 25 countries learning about different cultures and volunteering, mostly teaching English to Tibetan refugees in Northern India. At Santa Barbara High School, I pursued academic sciences and visual media in the Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA). As the student body president of VADA, I was exposed to leadership roles and responsibilities. I developed my style as a fine artist with inspiring mentors at three sequential mentorships with the Santa Barbara Arts Fund. My 3D design education began at the Rhode Island School of Design's Industrial Design summer program, followed by an internship at Jeff Shelton Architecture. After high school, I moved to London to study Product Design at Central Saint Martins. I have a Foundation Diploma and a Product Design BA (Honors) Diploma in which I received the classification of Upper Second Class Honors. We founded Makers Cabinet in our first year of the BA program and will have launched our third Kickstarter campaign one month after completion of our degree. Makers Cabinet is expanding quickly and we are currently working on setting up a design studio. Our first shop was only open for a short period as COVID-19 swiftly stopped all tourism and customers have followed stay at home orders. We plan on re-opening as soon as possible. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for wholesale inquiries, collaborations, or if you have value to offer in other capacities and would like to work with Makers Cabinet.
