As a frame of study I research aspects of Black diasporic culture that live and evolve in gesture, music, dance and material-visual culture. I examine the ways in which they shape my identity and connect Black people across geography and generations. Often choosing nightclubs as the primary framework to accomplish this, I experience the club as a microcosm to explore conceptually Black themes. My work to date has been very movement and dance focused creating my own prints, graphics, music and choreography pulling from documented experiences as I move through the world.
