24 year old designer Eysan Guney’s graduate collection The Joy of Getting Away With It is an ode to her muses. Born and raised in Istanbul, Guney's work aims to explore the curation of identity through different expressions of femininity and draws inspiration from the femme fatale characters in Turkish Film Noir. "Drawing directly upon my experiences of growing up in Istanbul and my own feelings of exclusion as a woman in Turkey, I seek to design clothes that explore the self curation of the outsider through their clothing and actions. My designs are very personal, at times autobiographical, and attempt to communicate my vision of the absurdity of the afflictions that affect the social body."
