My work explores the current and past issues faced within American society. I delve into my own, continuing attempt to contemplate them and the questions surrounding growth and evolution. With influences as diverse as Kemang Wa Lehulere and Daniel Arsham, discussions are created from both opaque and transparent interpretations. Since I was a child I have been fascinated by the ideals and dreams America presents to the world and its own people. What starts as hope soon becomes corrupted into a discord of myths and beliefs confused with facts. Left with a sense of dread, a new understanding is inevitable in the search of progression. As flashing conflicts become clarified through emergent and personal practice, the viewer is left with an insight into outposts of our condition and hopefully their own questions, and the drive to discover further truths.
