Hayoung specialises in project management, user-centred design, ethnographic research, product and service design, cultural research and illustration. Incorporating her experience of design thinking, leadership and interest in macro and micro-cultures, her time at DMC has pertained to problem-solving, innovating, empathising and failing to succeed- all of which have been a fundamental element to her growth in her projects. This conglomeration of interdisciplinary skills have further supported her interest of art and illustration, present in her showcase of work. The interest to design for social change, humour and curiosity have driven her momentum and diversity of engagements throughout her years at UAL, with experience of various collaborations with live clients and peers.
