The format of my thesis is a printed book because it reflects the ideas of a future that is created for humans, by machines. From the printed paper’s fragility on the inside, that symbolises the delicate human life, to the hard and technologically enhanced exterior that reflects the transhumanist ambitions, this book transcends its conventional limitations by protecting its essence.
Each image has been manipulated in order to display glitches and errors that are only encountered digitally. The paradox of perceiving such error in a printed format destroys the boundaries between real and virtual, positioning the reader / user in the middle of these two mediums.
