There are 5 garbage gyres around the world. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is officially on google maps and 3 times the size of France. In response to the concerning water level rise, and displacement of people in low lying coastal areas, I conceptualised a self sufficient mobile home implementing renewable energy, plastic waste, phytoplankton lights, coral and mussel formations. Living homes that grow could challenge the way we sustain life whilst we give back to the environment. This 'Earthship' would act as a vessel living symbiotically to nature. Set on the Pacific Garbage Patch, it aims to repurpose waste and assist the regeneration of coral reefs. It hosts a nomadic community driven to undoing human damage on marine life and reducing plastic pollution.
