A video work made during lockdown, using the home as a space for departure and dreaming. My bedroom became the set of a tropical island, the name of which was taken from the name of the road on which I live. The film is not only a document of typical ‘holiday’ tropes - drinking, smoking and playing cards - but it also portrays a set of social interactions and desires, a hot, claustrophobic and hazy weekend youth ritual between friends.
