The narrative and representations question the intent of religion, exploring who the gods are and religious people’s actions. Through the choice of using an alien religion (Raelian UFO Religion) there is a sense of freedom in the designs, presenting topics of gender and sexuality to the audience. I have created this piece to make the audience question their own spirituality and how they structure their lives to suit their religion, asking whether this is moral or not. I believe that if religion was pure, it would not push ideals of being the perfect gender and sexuality; instead, it would allow the individual to be spiritual in their own understanding of the word.
