Dream, Girl by Olivia Rubens for A/W ‘19 revolves around the idea of an alternative and playful femininity. These visuals stem from the harassment and bullying of difference, and the resilience and determination of that woman to remain off the beaten path, with all her quirks, collections of oddities and vibrant colours. This is a re-imagination of what femininity is in keeping truly with the weird. Through this imagery, a narrative develops of her life of excitement and adrenaline, uncertainty, good and bad decisions alike, awkward moments, dreamscapes and an appreciation of everything that is other.
