Yuwu is influenced by human gesture and posture depicted in iconic figurative painting, sculpture and film. She is engaged in both the conscious and the unconscious body language that crosses time, cultures and genders - while there differentiations accordingly, body language embraces all. For her Masters collection she translates selected postures into wearable artefacts, fabricated in leather, brass and wood. The works command the wearer to position themselves into the posture as the experience of wearing. Yuwu conveys her idea of wearing posture as a version of decorating our bodies with our own behaviours.
