Amid the pandemic, there are plenty of disturbing news that has sparked wide concern about elderly people in the information age. Many old people fail to realize the pandemic has spread because they aren’t able to get the latest news in time by using phones or computers. Not only does the loneliness of the old derive from emotion, but also results from the failure to guarantee their basic lives through the Internet.This is the source of my inspiration, which makes me reflect on whether the elderly are the only age group who feel isolated and lonely. Actually, what I want to express is that loneliness doesn’t depend on age. Any person can be marginalized.
