During the lockdown period, I found that my mother began to grow flowers. As a special unit, the family provides people with a sense of security and isolation, but it is also full of control and being controlled, just like what people do with domestic plants. These close experiences made me think about the emotional flow and interaction of people in a fixed space. In Chinese culture, maternal love has become a cultural meaning that faces being praised and sacrificed in family culture. It also represents a kind of flower called "day lily", which is called mother flower. I drew the gesture of this flower and use plentiful color to represent the unreality of the domestic space. Subsequent coverage and image reconstruction further reflect the instability and randomness of this emotion for the viewer to interpret. Just like after the reincarnation and reconstruction of the normal state, how should people face themselves and examine the things they take for granted with new connections.
