Cyber Beggar

With the cashless society development, some people began to beg for all kinds of financial support online. They beg for money to buy somethings such as houses, cars, or traveling fee. Because social medias have reduced the cost of fraud, there are more and more people pretend to be beggars and beg online. Some “successful”cyber beggars even don’t need to work, they can get a decent income by just begging online. Cyber beggar seemed to be a kind of new normal “job” in our life. However, I think this phenomenon is a spread of distorted values, which against the value of jobs and encourage people to profit by other people’s toil. Based on my imagination of what will the social media looks like if it is flooded with cyber beggars, I designed a virtual website named Beg Together. I tried to put those ridiculous cyber begging together on a platform. I want to use such an absurd website to communicate my opposition and irony to cyber beggars.
