My name is Xinyu Yuan and I am going to be studying International Preparation for Fashion (Certificate in Higher Education) at London College of Fashion, and I did not do fabric reconstruction experience alone, this is my first time to make the fabric without the help of nobody, I searched the Internet for video tutorials, I think the process of fabric reconstruction is a very interesting thing, in the process I can learn many things, In the process, I learned how to make wool felt, etc. First of all, I drew a dress design drawing about the new crown and used the appearance of the virus as my design inspiration. However, in the process of preparing the clothes, I started to make fabric modification because there was no suitable fabric. I use wool, thread and gauze to make fabric modification. The first step is to tie the flake wool into balls with needles, and then fix these balls of different colours together into a fabric with thread, to make a fabric. Then I put the remaining balls on a piece of cloth, covered them with gauze, and held them together with different threads. I also knit wool in different colours and materials into a piece of fabric. I want to use these fabrics to simulate the appearance of the virus. I want to use this design to remind people that the virus is everywhere and they should protect themselves at any time.
