My inspiration comes from the beautiful views watching through the window. In the lockdown, with the limited activity space, I began to think the impact of the environment on my creation process.
My situation during that time reminded me the traditional young ladies in the northwest area who could not go outside until they married. One of their favorite activities is flying the kites in the courtyard. The kit represent the freedom desire of these ladies and the mental frames outside of the windows represent shackle.
I used skeletons of kits to remake the frames and to create some patterns. These artworks more a process of the whole collection, the final work will be an installation.
