This project was a collaboration between The Shoreditch Youth Dance company with choreographer Lee Smickle on a contemporary dance production of Hansel and Gretel. To be performed within a church in Brighton, I found myself inspired by the notion of the stained glass windows and the colours from this which could create the scene for the house made of sweets. Originally from Cornwall, I associated this with the Patrick Heron stained glass window; thinking of the bright vibrant colours and abstract shapes and how this could translate and inform the rest of my designs.
