I build physical puppet characters to contruct my own pantheon from which to draw images. This methodology alows these characters to sit inbetween the real and imagined, drawn from a reality that is constructed. These puppets are inspired by puppets from Zuni Mauds 'Modicut Theatre' of 1920s yiddish New York, and once made become part of a cast of over 50 puppets as the models for my work, to draw from.
