A peony that was dying during the epidemic inspired me. The stamens represent hope, the multicolored petals represent complex emotions, and the curved stalk symbolizes the state of life. It's like a complete emotional landscape that reminds me of myself during this particular period. This inspiration inevitably gave me the urge to create work to represent my emotional landscape. I use ink painting as a medium, which facilitates the use of traditional Chinese symbols to express my living conditions and my expectations for the future. At the same time, I added watercolor as a medium to convey joy, boredom, and anger because I think the vivid colors of watercolor have a more immediate impact than ink.
