Addiction largely affects the brains reward, pleasure, and motivation and it often does not just occur after one use but rather develop over a period of time. The addiction is not limited to drug but as well as bad habits that can’t be shaken off.In this film, the boy feels isolated and traumatised, so he reaches for something that could help him escape. The boy is going on a journey in the middle of the desert where he encounters different obstacle that traumatises him. And the box is the only thing there that offers him a sense of relief. As the boy grows more reliant to the box, the monkey, a representation of addiction, also grows bigger. Unfortunately, after each time he opens the box, and effect are more short lived and eventually back fired, and the monkey overpower the boy. The boy desperately tries to run away from his addiction but only finds himself falling into a loop. The intention of this film is not to encourage substance abuse nor a summary of what addiction is. It is just to show how one could fall into addiction as it provides a sense of escape, as well as how the “high” might seems wonderful but it can also back fire. Breaking the addiction cycle is not easy and run away from the problem certainly doesn't help, but it can be with the right support.Contact detailsYuki LauEmail: firstname.lastname@example.orgWebsite: www.whynowdesign.comSocial mediaWebsite: www.whynowdesign.comInstagram: @whynowdesignTechnical infoLength : 04:10Size: 1920x1080 HD 16:9Sound: StereoH264
