Shapes of Ice is inspired by a frozen lake near my families cabin. With the theme ‘Stuck on an Island’, as I got stuck in Iceland during half of my final term, all material used within this project has been given to me. I share my journey I explore my surroundings through a lens, which captured the ‘creatures in the Ice’ that fed my creativity. Focusing on unconventional shapes and construction to develop a garment which can be worn in multiple ways. Examining textures through yarn and pushing traditional techniques by mixing domestic knitting, crochet and embroidery.
