cONFORMITY cONTRASTED

cONFORMITY cONTRASTED is the narrative of an upper-middle class conservative- rule driven childhood, juxtaposed with a liberal gender free class adjacent adulthood. Throughout the collection I have mixed and contrasted the tropes from my muses childhood and those of the 1980s working class power dresser. There is such an irony when it comes to the class system. The wealthy long for the liberation of poverty and the impoverished desire the restraints of capitalism. Mix that all together and separate sections with thick white zips, contrast that with the modern queer society and the collection is born.
