A recreation of the classic musical 'Cabaret (1972)'. Inspired by its main themes; fluid sexualities, strict governmental control and presentation of a different self through dressing up, my version is much influenced by the Venetian Carnival and the art of Commedia dell'Arte. Instead of a film, it is kept as an actual Cabaret Performance set in Venice, during the Period of the Carnival. Commedia dell'Arte Characters (and their personalities) were thoroughly studied in order to match them accordingly to the Cabaret characters. When the connections were made, the basic facial features and general color-palettes of the Commedia characters, were translated into prosthetics and costumes for the Cabaret ones. I focused on the designing of the prosthetics as well as making of that one for Sally Bowles (the lead actress), as well as her hand-made Wig.
