Ktalist is a series of short films created for the public presentation of an emergent jewellery brand created by Inaurem and diected by Louisiane Trotobas. This work is comprised of a series of 5 short clips which are published on the Glamcult Magazine website. Each of the clips is inspired by each of the 5 elements of the Wu Xing of Chinese culture – wood, fire, earth, metal and water – and also by some aspects of Maori traditions and sci-fi imagery. The sound design for those pieces was also inspired by the gamelan sounds of Maori music and also by the scores of 80’s sci-fi films, which led to make strong use of synthesisers and evolving textures, as well as the exploration of other synchronisation techniques, sampling and effect audio processes .
