This is a project about identity and belonging. A child who grew up in Beijing, the ancient city of China, has been wandering outside for a few years. He has changed a lot when he returns to his hometown. Is his emotion strange? Is it missing? Is it like a fish in the water, or is it sad to find that one can no longer go back in time?
All these complicated emotions have really happened to me. And in this project, from the primary research to the outcome, everything was shot and experienced by me personally, and it was a project completely my own.
