Shapeshifter

Shapeshifter October 2016 I collaborated with a director and performer to create a costume for the character Shape-Shifter. As the play was exploring female objectification I designed a dress, upon which were attached the internal organs, rib cage and backbone of a woman – this represented her armour beneath which the shape-shifter could hide. Throughout the performance the organs were removed and placed in a suitcase, at the end Shapeshifter closes the suitcase and leaves carrying her organs with her.
