Instead of just making a cup of coffee, the thought behind my coffee machine is to make it a centerpiece of a coffee ritual designed to trigger anticipation. By designing a coffee machine to demand attention through motion, sound and scent it becomes a piece of art that slows down and indicates the passing of time while it creates space in the room.
