Project: ‘Nazar’.
Nazar is translated to the meaning ‘eyes and ‘sight’. An important symbol that has been adopted into Middle Eastern and North African cultures throughout centuries. It is believed that the Nazar amulet willl prevent and protect you from any evil or envy, and as a result it is displayed and worn as protection. This project enabled me to delve deeper into my identity through researching and exploring key cultural symbols that are connected to my roots.
