The Scream

It is an oil painting shows the scene of forest fire that the animal and plants is suffering from it with big scream. By this artwork, I want to draw people’s attention of climate crisis. I chose to use a close-up view of the painting, as if I were in the center of the fire. Actually, I want to pursue the authentic feeling of the immersion into the fire. As for the color, I use a large number of high saturation colors to enrich the picture and distinguish the picture tier through the light and shade of the trees. In this way, as people first see the picture, they probably be attracted by the bright color and feel the heat of forest fire. Besides, I have found many kind of forms of the tree. Some of them seem to be crying for help, some seem to be struggling painfully and some have been distorted. I intend to create with them as the main subject to let people clearly and deeply feel the suffering of the nature with overstate and distorted shapes. size of the painting: 40cm/30cm
