Rebirth of Coral

I wanted to tell the story of coral to the public with my model, exposing the fragility of coral ecosystem, meanwhile, trying to explore the possibility of saving coral through design. ‘Coral reefs are ants, industrialized countries are elephants.’ When ants in a hot pot are unprepared to pay for our actions, should we not take the initiative to save them from the dire consequences we have caused? Human beings are incredible when we act together. We can solve the coral bleaching crisis – if we choose to.With real leadership we can stop runaway carbon pollution and allow our coral reefs to recover and rebuild. Therefore, through this composite installation, I hope to reflect on and explore our relationship with nature, the visible and the invisible. Our oceans have no borders. This is a global crisis, but change starts here.
