Causation
My artwork is a poster i designed for an old movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW which was on in 2004. it talks about the huge changes due to the greenhouse gas and climatic disaster the globe faces.I choose the cold color blue and white as the basic color because it is a disaster movie, cold color could give people a feeling of sadness which fits the theme better..In order to warn, i choose the word DANGER as the title, and magnify it at the bottom of the poster. As to the subtitle, i use the arrow mark to show the process of the climatic process, that is , global warming, glaciers melting, catastrophic climatic and danger. The other elements like tsunami, broken ship, sunken liberty statue are all from the movie.This august, some regions in my country were damaged by the extreme flood, great loss. So i decided to redesign a poster for this film, and i wish that people may reconsider the significance of environmental protection and climate change. So this flood is the reason i choose tsunami as the element in the poster.The left upper corner which is designed by myself. It is like the earth and orbit, also the eyes. So i wish i could draw people’s attention for protecting our global through it.
