Artist Statement “fire disaster” In recent years, climate problems have appeared more and more frequently. Greenhouse gases caused by human activities contribute to global warming. Of the many climate-related crisis, Australia's bushfires may be one of the more complete cycles of climate disasters. That's why I chose it as my theme. Because of global warming, ocean currents around Australia are abnormal and rainfall is decreasing, which has also led to a longer fire season. The huge amounts of greenhouse gases released in this catastrophic fire add to global warming. I want to show the climate disaster caused by this vicious circle through this work. I represented the burned trees in black silhouettes. I painted flames of animals that died or extinction in that fire. The smoke-filled sky I painted as the history of mankind. To show the harm that climate crisis do to human beings and nature. What I want to show is that the effects of climate crisis are not far away for human beings. It also affects animals and plants that live with us. My idea is that human activities and natural activities are a cycle. If any part of it goes wrong, it can be like the butterfly effect that brings crisis to the whole. People should understand the causes of disasters and face them together. In addition, people have enjoyed the benefits of productivity brought by the scientific and technological revolution, but we should also shoulder the responsibility of cleaning up industrial pollution.
