My major is photography, but I've been exploring elements in other areas. I hope my work can combine photography with other majors to create new styles. My work is influenced by western and Japanese influences and I see a lot of photographers' work. My favorite photographers are Eikoh Hosoe and Issei Suda. I fell in love with black and white photography because of them. Of course, I also like the Western photographer Josef Koudelka, who made me fall in love with street photography at the beginning of my photography study and keep this habit till today. Most of my photography is done on black and white film. Whether it's people, landscapes or objects, the main thing is to explore the connections between people in society and the way we think about life and death. The biggest challenge in photography is innovation because all the pictures taken are of real or objective objects. So how to express my ideas correctly in my style is a difficult thing. In the future study, I will do more research, not only on western photographers but also on Chinese photographers. I want to incorporate Chinese elements into my work.
