Countdown to Climate

The name of my artwork is "Countdown to Climate", and it is a timer made from a water clock that resembles a cup. Through constant exploration and design, this work was produced. The inspiration comes from the water drop timer made by Ktesibios in ancient times and a theme about the climate crisis. In the design, reference was made to flying fish, manta rays and other creatures to draw a pattern like an hourglass. It is used to remind people that the living environment of marine life is also affected by weather changes. Four colors are selected for the surface, blue, yellow, red, and green. They also represent the four elements: ocean, land, fire and life. Everything is closely related to our life and environment. It is planned to use colored glass to make the four colors. The whole design is huge, and the wall of the cup is hollow. It is very huge. People can put their ears close to this huge cup, listen to the sound of water droplets inside, and listen to the sounds of nature.
