University of the Arts London BA (Hons) Fashion Textiles: Embroidery
During my project I have displayed a range of techniques, experimenting with ways to merge these together to create a range of unique samples. My project theme of the Italian renaissance and abstract art gave me the opportunity to think outside the box and connect the two topics together in a fun way. The samples displayed are a few of my final pieces, where I have combined the two ideas using the techniques of hand embroidery and beading, reverse appliqué, sublimation printing and couching. I feel these techniques have enhanced my final outcomes and has given them a bold finish being my intention.
