We were asked to create a letter to someone of our choice. It made me resonate on my past with my cousin, who I have shared many memories with. The opening title of my concertina book was ‘Remember When’. Each page was a different memory, for example, ‘when we ate pizza’ which I illustrated and wrote a short sentence with underneath the illustration. I screen-printed them on black card. I incorporated the same approach I followed in my first week of print, into my letter, by firstly printing on the black card using ordinary objects with acrylic paint which acted as the background. I also wanted the object to link to the memory. For the memory of pizza, I printed using half of a tomato as they are used in the making of pizza and I printed by putting acrylic paint on bubble wrap for the memory of 'we got bubble wrap in China town'.
