The brief was to create an ambient sequence to make a waiting room, a more tolerable experience. As a group, we decided our waiting room was the time in between going to sleep and falling asleep. Our target audience were chronic insomniacs as they have difficulty falling asleep. We created one sequence by placing red acetate on a scanner and filming the light on the scanner as it goes across. We created another sequence of dark flowing water. This was unsuccessful as it was too fast and there was too much light in the video, which would not be appropriate when going to sleep. We used a projector and tested our ambient sequences in a bedroom, to get an idea of how our sequences would look in their real life context. I also created a 3D model to show how our sequence would work in its real life context.
