My climate crisis project is called ‘dilemma’, which is inspired by the overconsumption issue in the fast fashion industry. I found myself with complex emotions while facing the overconsumption issue. On one hand, I know fast fashion is hurting the earth. On the other hand, fast fashion seems to be a necessary evil for our generation. So, what should I wear?
To utilize the concept of recycling, I used recycled magazines mixed with tracing paper, acrylic, and glue to create a series of collages. Additionally, I used a lighter to burn the surface and surrounding of the tracing paper to create burning marks which represent the high heat that the earth is suffering right now.
