Juliette Ho's Design for #GraysonsRobes2020

COMMUNION by Juliette Ho UAL is a community welcoming individuals with different age, gender, nationality and cultural background. Rainbow is a an express of communion. The British flag means the origin of UAL. Within the context of Brexit, the combination of the rainbow style and the British flag aims to tell ‘UAL is always a door opening for people all around world with great love and passion about arts and design’. Considering cultural preservation aspect, historical details involving ruffles and slashing are applied. The silhouette of the a-line dress is constructed with colourful, numerous godets which will be made by tulle. Traditional robe’s collar detail echoes with the British flag colour-blocked patterns. The millinery is a heart shape surrounding with ruffles.
