My aim was to create a critical satirical commentary of dating nowadays. I wanted to create a guideline what should and should not be acceptable in dating.
As a body of work I have created an illustrated guide of modern romance, intimacy and dating based on my own experiences. To build a narrative and make my work more relatable I have created a character, my alter ego, who´s guiding you throughout the narrative sharing her thoughts and feelings.
The graphic novel evolves around modern dating phenomenas like ghosting, stringing along, stereotypes, double standards and wrong expectations in todays “dating apocalypse“.
Through pointing out these certain kind of behavior, I want to make people question the way we interact with each other and furthermore to point out that you´re not alone in nowadays controversial dating world.
