Set in the Ming Dynasty in China, At the beginning of the Novel, Buddha seeks a Pilgrim, Tripitaka, to travel to India to get scriptures. Along the way he meets and frees the Monkey King, and he and Monkey then recruit Pigsy and Sandy. They meet several bodhisvattas and fight fierce monsters before arriving at Buddha's Palace. Makeup and postiche designed and made by Chase Hayden.
