The concept for our remake of ‘The Time Machine’ is set in an English Swampland 10,000 years after a nuclear event occurred. the species have merged with nature to evolve and survive. They have adapted to simpler, more androgynous forms. The morlock’s live underground and in water as protective environments, so have been exposed to less radiation than the Eloi. They are still humans that have evolved characteristics such as skin textures and gills of toads and other amphibians to survive the wet and dry conditions. They have contracted skin conditions due to their weakened immune systems and damp habitat, so fungi and warts grow on their skin. Their hair has been affected by radiation in the post nuclear environment. Wig, makeup and prosthetics by Chase Hayden.
