My project is a production design adaptation based on the preteen novel Marshmallow Magic and the Wild Rose Rouge by Karen McCombie. It tells the story of a young girl growing up in Scotland in 2004, her experiences of bullying and how she copes through use of magical rituals and her vibrant imagination. This is illustrated through a combination of technical drawing, set design and concept art. The designs explore the girls loss of safety. The project demonstrates my interest in designing for film and television. I have also included some elements showing skills from previous projects such as graphic design and set dressing.
