Performed at the Royal Academy of the Arts as part of the 2018 Mayfair Summer Arts Festival. Anatomy sculptures draws from the RA's rich and sordid history of anatomical drawing, ranging from their famed Drawing Room which banned women from seeing nude models, to their disturbing anatomical casts made from the flayed bodies of criminals put to death. Anatomical Sculptures presents a Feminist critique of this history. It forces the space to reckon with the live, moving bodies whose forms have been altered, romanticised, and misrepresented throughout classical art.
