To understand the present it is important to know what came before us. This project is about exploring how history can become embodied in a physical thing, and how we are able to engage with the past by recreating it through design. I made a full-sized broadsheet that contained information spanning 100 years from the first Lock-Out at Dinorwic Quarry to the eventual dismantling of the slate industry in Dinorwic, and everything in between.
